Used mainly as an intermediate in organic synthesis.
Also used as an intermediate for water gel explosives, accelerators, pharmaceuticals, insecticides, surface active agents, fungicides and various chemical finished products such as: N-methylpyrrolidine and methylalkanolamines.
It is also used during production in many industries such as: in tanning, as a component of photographic developers and paint removers, as a fuel additive, in the production of dyes, and as a polymerization inhibitor and a rocket propellant.
